An immersive three-month series suspending sound, stillness and skyline high above Orchard Road, Singapore.
Getting away for a week to a wellness retreat is a dream for most of us who can't get off work, but The Singapore EDITION has a wellness experience that takes place in the heart of the city. Called The Sunset Sound Healing, the series takes place on the last Thursday of each month until October, starting from 7 pm to 8 pm at The ROOF at the hotel’s 43-metre pool.
Set against the skyline as the sun sets, each session invites guests to unwind to a live soundscape of gongs, guided by practitioners from The Ark. The hour is designed as a pause in the week, an hour to slow down, breathe and reset.
"Singapore moves quickly and we wanted to create a moment that asks people to do the opposite," said Robert Pattenden, General Manager of The Singapore EDITION. "There is something quietly special about floating on the water as the sun sets over the city, letting the sound settle you. It is an hour to simply be and a mindful way to close the week."
Guests may choose between two experiences; a place on a poolside sundeck chair is priced at SGD 80 while a spot on a floating water hammock, suspended on the rooftop pool between water and sky is priced at SGD 95. The water hammocks are supported by AcquaBoss, an Australian brand known for its focus on sustainability and practical design, with mould-resistant, UV-protected materials. Availability is limited to five per session.
Each participant also enjoys fruit-infused water, a fresh towel and a takeaway bag of gourmet sandwiches prepared by the hotel’s culinary team, to enjoy once the session ends.
The Sunset Sound Healing sessions is open to hotel guests and city guests.
