Elysia Wellness Retreat

New South Wales, Australia

Retreat

Elysia Wellness Retreat sits in New South Wales' Hunter Valley, roughly a one-hour drive from Sydney, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and local wildlife. Its architecture was intentionally designed around Feng Shui principles, meant to move negative energy out of the space and allow room for more transformative, positive flow — reflecting a broader retreat philosophy that treats the physical environment itself as part of the wellness offering. All-inclusive stays range from a single night up to seven, with every guest journey beginning with a pre-arrival consultation covering preferred activity intensity, spa treatment interests, and wellness goals, so the itinerary can be built around the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule.

The daily wellness program blends both low- and high-intensity options, including Pilates, stretch classes, Fitball, yoga, deep water running, volleyball, cardio boxing, and sunrise Tai Chi held atop the property's aptly named Meditation Hill, with 360-degree valley views and frequent kangaroo sightings. Elysia Day Spa, the property's central treatment facility, offers more than 50 therapies using Babor products — massages, facials, body scrubs, hydrotherapy, acupuncture and reflexology among them — and is open to both retreat guests and day visitors. Facilities extend further to tennis courts, a fully equipped gym and fitness studios, an outdoor resort-style pool, and a 25-metre indoor pool, giving the retreat a fuller athletic infrastructure than many wellness properties of its kind.

For guests wanting a lighter commitment, Elysia has recently introduced shorter "wellness mini break" packages starting from a single night, giving access to the full daily activities menu along with a spa credit, alongside its longer-standing signature programs like the four-night Inspire Change journey. Nutrition plays a central role throughout: the retreat's Fusion restaurant serves curated, seasonal and organic wellness dining (recently opened to non-retreat visitors as well), and guests can choose a new Elysia Wellness Breakfast built around locally sourced produce, with the option of organic, fair-trade coffee for those not undertaking a full caffeine detox during their stay.
