Aman Spa Tokyo occupies the top two floors — the 33rd and 34th — of the Otemachi Tower in central Chiyoda Ward, making it Aman's first urban sanctuary and, at nearly 2,500 square meters, one of the largest hotel spas in the city. The space is designed as a deliberate antidote to the energy of Tokyo below: minimalist Japanese wood paneling, floor-to-ceiling windows framing skyline views, eight treatment rooms, onsen-style hot baths, steam rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness center with TRX equipment, dedicated yoga and Pilates studios, and a striking 30-meter black basalt indoor pool. The treatment philosophy draws on the Japanese understanding of nature and the seasons, using natural ingredients across its menu of massages, facials and body journeys — a blend of Japanese, Chinese and Western technique. Signature offerings include the 150-minute Aman Tokyo Signature Journey, combining a camphor scrub, kuromoji powder and Japanese clay with a 90-minute rubdown drawing on both Shiatsu and Western massage; the Kuromoji Tea Journey, built around a body wrap with kuromoji clay followed by a stress-relieving massage using the hotel's own signature kuromoji oil; and the traditional Shinto water ritual known as the Misogi Experience, designed to purify the body and reset the mind. A rotating "Seasonal Journey" treatment aims to rebalance body, mind and spirit in step with the changing seasons, in keeping with the spa's broader nature-and-balance philosophy.
Beyond individual treatments, the spa offers structured wellness experiences like Evening Yoga and Meditation, a private high-rise session blending light movement, meditation and breathwork for evening relaxation, alongside access to the fitness center and studios for guests wanting a more active stay. Facilities are available to all hotel guests, and non-staying visitors can also book access through packages like the one-day Aman Wellness Program.
